3D Imaging of the CSRA is the only Mobile NewTom unit in the States of Georgia and South Carolina. We offer state-of the-art CBVI (CT Scans) of the oral and maxillofacial area. Our service is for your patients at your office. We believe this is an extension of your practice. Your patients will enjoy the familiar setting of your practice without having to be referred to another facility.

Radiology is one of the most important tools in the diagnostic assessment of the dental patient. For most dental practitioners, the use of advanced imaging has been limited because of availability, radiation dose and cost considerations; however, today Cone-beam Volumetric Imaging for the maxillofacial region provides the dental clinician with an imaging modality capable of providing a 3-dimensional representation of the maxillofacial skeleton.  CBVI allows the creation in “real time” of images in the axial plane, coronal, sagittal and curved image planes referred to as multiplanar reformation (MPR).

There is now a choice for diagnostic imaging that adheres to the ALARA principle:  (as low as reasonably achievable) at all times that provides precise images (less than 0.1 mm margin of error) and generates less radiation in concordance with the ALARA principle for your patients.

In three dimensions you can perform
the following:

1. Precisely mark important anatomic structures such the inferior alveolar canal and maxillary sinus prior to maxillofacial surgery
2. Accurately determine if cavitation is present before surgery
3. Visualization of the mandibular condyle and articulating components in TMJ assessment
4. Detect pathologic hard tissue and sinus lesions
5. Airway space analysis
